Leading employment judge references WDD Online in decision

In a recent case decision rendered by Mr. Justice Echlin, Laszczewski v Aluminart Products Limited, 2007 CarswellOnt 8204, the judge made a direct reference to the Wrongful Dismissal Database system.

Page 60 of the decision reads:

In the well-known and often-utilized Wrongful Dismissal Database, created by Barry B. Fisher, an on-line service provided by Thomson/Carswell, 45 decisions are revealed ranging from awards as little as one month to as much as one year. The database suggests that an average notice period may be 5.60 months for employees such as Laszczewski.
